You then count the number of animals that die over the next 14 days. At the end you euthanize the ones who are still alive. If 50 or more of the animals died from antifreeze, you record the dose as the LD50 and you're done. If fewer than 50 die, you repeat the test with a new batch of animals and a higher dose.
