Why are you on spironolactone? My PDR states that 3 of the medications I take can cause elevated blood sugars. I plan on using the elliptical to exercise on, which has lowered my blood pressure in the past; but now I don't know what effects Atenolol has had on my heart long term. Do not trust Doctors or Medication that can screw you up for the rest of your life!!
Hello, I am experiencing some uncomfortable symptoms. My palms and forearms are breaking out in VERY itchy hives. The hives that appear on my palm are actually under the skin and scratching does not allieviate the itching. Icing the spots and liquid antihystamines offer only temporary relief. Along with the hives, random fingers have been getting stiff and are difficult to bend. The pain goes away in one day, but the pain seems to jump to other fingers. Atacand is belongs to the group of ARB.
My GP agreed that. My GP also said many and most of the diabetes patient also on that. Atacand is for the prevention of kidney failure. I just wish to know is that true? Are you all diabetes sufferers on ARB or Atacand?
What is your doctor said? I had some of the side effects listed under dangerous side effects and had to stop taking it. So I reminded my doctor of that and he put me on Hydrochlorothiazide. I took this for one day and was extremely sick the whole day. I started with some dizziness, and headache, then went to cramps which turned into very bad cramps. I wasn't too concerned at first because I read that as your body adjusts to it you can get a bit dizzy, and headache, and stomach upset.

Although they do say the TSH can fluctuate "madly" when the thyroid is burning out. There was a few weeks back in march when I was under severe stress at work and I went from 2. GWd knows how? And that was in 2 weeks To be perfectly honest I would seek another Doc. Thanks for your comments.

Told her it was in the full sized version since I checked it out in the library. Visit tomorrow is with a real doc - who I have seen before when we discussed the latest medical articles on Vitamin D deficiency and its effect on various thyroid hormones. This was on a visit for an allergic reaction to a spider bite. Vitamin D does damp down allergic reactions - and if you get to 80 - stops progression of all types of arthritis reams of studies.
Will update on what I learn. At this point I have been researching the biological processes and potential interaction and the competition for calcium - which may be why the thyroid test is off. I have a chemistry and pharma background - just not the biology. Guess it is back to home school. Have gotten somewhat of an answer. Stopped the HCTZ - continued same dose of synthroid - TSH levels raised significantly - but doc considers them still too low - another drop in meds that I will again ignore.
Appears that allergic reaction may have contributed to this change and that ceasing HCTZ caused levels to try to return to "normal". Will be seeing endo in mid-September. Will quiz and post any answers I get. I cannot believe what I am reading! I have the same scenario! I have been to so many doctors that do not understand the relationship between low Vit.

Maybe food for thought but I have 4 friends who ALL have heart issues Dont think so I have a heart arrhythmia and allergic to sulfa also.
